Abdul Wajid

I’m a sustainability expert with experience across the UAE, UK, and Asia Pacific, working on large mixed-use developments in cities like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, and across Southeast Asia. My day to day is about making buildings work better for the people inside and around them, through daylighting studies, thermal comfort analysis, and sustainability certifications like LEED, BREEAM, and Estidama. A lot of my work happens in the messy middle: between what architects envision, what MEP teams need, and what the climate demands. Each region brings its own challenges, from desert heat to temperate overcast skies to tropical humidity, and that variety is what makes the work interesting. I use simulation, parametric tools, and a fair bit of judgment to help teams make better design decisions. The software you can learn on your own.
