am an architect and researcher with a strong commitment to culturally responsive and community-driven design. I completed my undergraduate studies at the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur in 2018, where I developed a solid foundation in architectural design and planning. Building on my interest in sustainability, I pursued my Master’s in Sustainable Architecture, focusing on climate-responsive and environmentally conscious design strategies. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, where my research lies at the intersection of community engagement, rural technology, vernacular architecture, indigenous knowledge systems, and cultural studies. My work explores how traditional knowledge, socio-economic contexts, and evolving cultural practices can inform the co-design of built environments that are sustainable, inclusive, and contextually relevant. My research adopts participatory and field-based approaches, including community engagement, documentation, and co-creation processes, to understand lived experiences and translate them into meaningful design responses. I am interested in bridging the gap between policy, practice, and people, while contributing to design approaches that support resilience, sustainability, and cultural continuity. I see architecture not just as a discipline of building, but as a tool for empowerment, inclusivity, and long-term social impact.
